The Final Furlong Cheltenham Preview in association with the Betfair Exchange

Building on Ascot's much-loved annual Cheltenham Preview, The Final Furlong, in association with the Betfair Exchange, are joining us for the first time in 2020 to review the days racing and look ahead to the championship races at Cheltenham. Guests in the King Edward VII Enclosure can enjoy the panel live from our award winning Panoramic Restaurant.

Meet Cue Card

After the success of our 'Meet The Racehorse' stable at the Discover Racehorse Ownership Weekend, we have Betfair Ascot Chase 2017 winner and Jumps legend Cue Card coming to meet racegoers this February. Come along to see a magnificent thoroughbred up close and in the flesh.

One of the most popular chasers of recent generations, Cue Card amassed over £1.4m in prize money across a stellar career that spanned eight years.

Trained by Colin Tizzard, the nine-time Grade 1 winner first sprung to prominence at the 2010 Cheltenham Festival when landing the Champion Bumper as a 40-1 outsider. He went on to claim another big Festival prize in the Ryanair Chase three seasons later, as well as a King George VI Chase, three Betfair Chases at Haydock and two renewals of the Betfair Ascot Chase, his final win coming in the Ascot showpiece in February 2017.

Following his retirement in 2018, Cue Card embarked on the Retraining Of Racehorses (RoR) scheme, joining top show horse producer and rider Katie Jerram-Hunnable the following spring. The horse made his showing debut in hand at the Royal Windsor Horse Show that May, and competed at the RoR Goffs UK National Championships at Aintree in August 2019.
